Morooka MST800VD Tracked Dumper
The Morooka MST800VD tracked dumper has a long undercarriage and is the first carrier in the range with 8 pairs of bottom rollers. The double cast rollers are critical to maintaining the rubber tracks’ horizontal and vertical alignment, exactly following the ground’s contours. By maximising the ground contact area, the floatation is kept to an absolute minimum ground pressure.
Positively driven high clearance drive sprockets are engaged by final drive units which are powered by Hydrostatic variable speed motors. The self-cleaning track race is acknowledged as being a well proven design and was first invented by Morooka and Bridgestone in 1958. The shape of the track replicates a boat’s hull, and the more the whole vehicle sinks, the bigger the surface area of track is issued to the ground.
The MST800VD tracked dumper is also the first machine to have an ROPS cabin. This well-appointed driver’s control pod has tinted glass and a heater as standard equipment.
